I've been to the Philippine for few times and fell in love with this fish - Bangus...it's not like we can't find it in KK but then they had a special way of serving this fish - boneless. The milkfish or " bangus" is very popular with Filipinos. This fish has a lot of tiny bones. The bones are expertly removed and the fish is fried whole they called it “Daing na Bangus" . It is often served with garlic rice and pickled vegetables- which is my favourite..so I decided to try and debone a bangus..and to my surprise it was easy..except for the finer bones as I don't have the appropriate tool to do it..maybe next time..

I feel so bad and guilty of not getting on the treadmill..ahahaha..I just had tons of things to do at home..had to skip that part for today. Although, tomorrow is no excuse.

None...ahahahaha...really!!! because I'm engaged with so many things.

None...ahahahahah...yeah really!!! coz I'm waiting for the potluck at 3

had 8 spoons of rice 1 spoon of beef/1 spoon of terung/ one piece of fish curry/ e few broccoli and cauliflower (my favorite veges) / 3 cups of orange juice and 2 cups of soya bean (ahahahaha...tooo thirsty...I know it's bad to drink too much after meal...this I cannot help it...the weather was humid and I'm sticky all over and the drinks was sooooo colddd!!

I had 8 spoons of rice / a spoon of beef intestine...yeah I eat this!! / and cauliflower with broccoli againnn :))
I think I can eat a whole bunch of broccoli :))
anyway...I had a great walk later after this at 1B...shopping for my groceries so I won't need to do that tomorrow.

Monday
breakfast - one boiled egg, 3 piece of biscuits & a glass of grape juice.
(not a really healthy breakfast ei) - so busy with house chores...no helper..huhuh)
Lunch - skipped (hehe) terrr bah..no time
Dinner - small bowl of chicken & vegetable porridge and two piece of fried chicken
Haiyah..not a good start for this week..and to make it worst..I didn't make it to the treadmill today. :(

Tuesday

Ran for 1500m - I read that if you exercise in the morning, it pumps up the metabolism for the whole day...so better workout in the morning.(no wonder I'm still sweating more than usual even hours after exercising)
breakfast - Had 1 boiled egg, a glass of apple juice, a piece of plain paratha
lunch - had 8 spoons of rice, lettuce with sardine, pieces of chicken with mushroom and half of a fish cake
a glass of grape juice
I ate roti Jon and a small donut during tea break -- eeyah
dinner - same like my lunch without the lettuce and sardine --sad to see it go to waste baa..
Today is toooo bad..

Wednesday
ran for 1800m today.
had boiled egg, a piece of bread with salmon spread and a glass of apple juice
I just had 3 small cups of cold milo for morning break - no eating

I had 8 spoons of rice, half of a chick drumstick,1 small fried fish and beansprouts. had ice milo for drink...I have to have my milo ping...favourite...:) I ate 1 small roti piang for desert.

Dinner
hard to tell.. coz I was eating bones before my real meal. I love chicken bones. the white bones I mean. I would rather call it a casual dinner...had some fruits and bits of rice and chicken.
Which reminds me the juiciness of the honey dew I had just now....yummm....
Maybe I should consider 'fruits only' of dinner...yes tomorrow had to buy fruits. :)

Okay then, I admit that doing the detox program for getting my ideal weight is sooo much tougher than I thought. I had to this for my own sake, for health reason and for self confidence. It seems funny that I'm surrounded by people who eats a lot but doesn't gain a lot. I now decided to do another option of getting 'there'....i used to weigh 60-65 kg...which is my ideal weight for my 5' 8' frame...

If you're active and in good health, it doesn't hurt to be a little outside these ranges. Also, weight alone doesn't give the whole picture -- you need to consider if a lot of your weight comes from fat or from muscle." - www.ahealthyme.com

And for the boosting...I picked up a new routine...run at least 1500m a day.YES! I did that the whole week last week....believe me it does kick up my metabolism....sweating the hell out of me...even when I'm hours after running. besides, I'm keeping a small notepad in my bag just to keep track of what I'm eating and drink instead of giving in to my crave for foods (during no eating hours).

I realize this is much fun than doing the detox program..although I'm keeping that in my routine as a once a month Health Bonus. But to all of you reading this...I've just started last week...wish me the best for the days ahead!

I was shocked to hear that things like this does happen in Malaysia...Malaysia...???!! A country I should be proud of in many ways...and now this?!! I was reading Marina's blog and this is the 1st thing that came up. This is the Desa Melawati Metro Tabernacle Church. I guess taken by MM herself (sorry borrowing it) One of the churches that was burned down I believe this was the act of some irresponsible Muslim citizen who does not even understand the meaning of their own religion. I thought what I was teaching in school for the subject of Moral was applicable for Muslim also....I guess I was wrong.... Just because of the word 'Allah'? If this is the issue....How very vulnerable it is for a Muslim to be converted into Christian just by the use of 'Allah'???? why is that so???? wouldn't it be wrong for them to use English.....or maybe Chinese coz they might insult the Buddhist too..... We have respected their religion for all this years...accepting their religion to be the main religion for the country....and this is what we get?! The great news is....with this...all Christian are growing stronger in faith... Yes...they can burn down all the churches in the world..but bear in mind..in makes the faith stronger....stronger than the fire that burns.... As a true Christian....We have learned the love of God....And bear in mind that God's love is unconditional. We should shine brighter with that love. We pray for those who lost their churches. And don't forget to pray for those who burned those churches....because they do not understand....their heart is full of hatred...blinded by it...they do not know what they are doing... We have nothing to mourn coz we did not loose anything but gain faith and strenghten our relationship with each other and God...only the money that we have spent to build it. But that will soon come whenever God want's it to be..it will be..

Am I so late!!?? Well then... I had a great time celebrating the new year 2010 with my family( cousins mostly), compared to the terrible black new year last year. It was a great night and we had a great conversation through the morning. Tiring..yes..but great!!! pictures...errrhhh...I didn't get to take any pictures coz I was busy playing host...:) About New year's resolution, it's nothing much: 1. Be Happy 2. stay healthy 3. Sleep early..hahahaha..this is the worst thing I should put on priority. 4. be more creative in everything...as a teacher, as a photographer, as a woman, as a mother... Last night, myself with my sis and cousin Pammie decided to watch AVATAR...wew...9 was pact...so we decided to go for the midnight show...which only started at 12.05am and the movie was like, more than 2 hours...you can guess the time we reach home..humph..and that's giving me a heavy head right now. huhew...Although, it was worth it. The movie was great..great..great..the graphic for me was beyond any movie I've ever seen..but the plot was so much predictable for someone like me...who reads too much, especially fiction and fantasy ...too much?hmmm....maybe not too much...but It's getting there.hehe talking about reading...I'm almost done with the twilight saga - breaking dawn...ANND ....I'm getting to get the 'hold on a while' symptoms...It's not the book..no. it's more of me saying goodbye to the story. Of course I still could read it over and over whenever I can. but it's never the same as the 1st time. I'm sad to end a good reading. it happens to me when I read Harry Potter, Narnia, Colours of the Rainbow(which is a great biography about the WW2)..and many other books I've read before. Anyway, I'm going to start a new book straight away after breaking dawn...AMERICAN GODS by Neil Gaiman..and a great looking author too..hehehe

7 days(stage) detox diet

This detox diet can be adapted to last anything from 1 to 4 weeks. The plan is plit into 7 stages. If you are initially trying out just a week long regime, each stage will last 1 day, while in a 2 week regime, each stage will last 2 days adn so on. Obviously, the longer the plan the greater the effect. It is important to follow the plan in the order given. beware...After liquid stage...you must come back to food slowly or you will overload your digestive system/undo all you have achieved and even feel quite unwell....-Hamlyn (Total Wellbeing)

Stage 1 (Monday) : Liquids only

Traditionally, this would be just water, which is the quickest and purest means of flushing out the system. too strict?..you may opt for:

Freshly made fruit / vegetable juices
Herbal or spice teas
Broth

If you're unsure, do inquire for an opinion from a doctor first before undertaking this detox programme ...anyway, hope you all the best...and to myself to...for a better health...

Stage 2 (Tuesday) : Liquid & Fruit OnlyThe following fruits all have helpful detox properties :

Apple / Pineapple / Mango / Grapes / Watermelon I'm posting this earlier for those who may need earlier preparation:

Stage 3 (Wednesday) : Liquid & Fruit & Raw vegetables

Stage 4 (Thursday) : Add cooked vegetables and brown rice

Stage 5 (Friday) : Add beans, lentils, nuts and seeds

Stage 2 (Saturday) : Add grains and live yogurt

grains should be from rye, buckwheat, barley or oats - anything but wheat

Stage 2 (Sunday) : Add fish

Add dairy products (cheese, cream, milk) and meat gradually, as they are high in saturated fats, which slow down digestion. Add wheat last.

About 30 over students and a few colleagues of mine had a short break from all the chaotic schedules in school. Everyone (except me who was having a slight fever) had a great time throughout the trip. Although, I refuse to give up to my unfortunate condition or loose the opportunity for some shots. I love life, but things doesn't always goes as planned (yeeergh!). It's not always beautiful as everyone hope it should be. But of course, living everyday trying to get yourself looking pityful in others eyes is just an annoyance. I live with one simple principle in life....smile & hummm..yes! No matter how bad your day is....or how hurt you feel when somebody let you down....Go ahead call me crazy but life is not worth thinking or indulging sorrows or feeling down....It dries up the bone (hehehe...I'm paying attention here...). A quiet moment and a tune would be enough to lift the strength in me to go on with this beautiful life...

It's so interesting how people reacts to the disease that is gently swallowing the human race....The severe panic is causing chaos all over the world, yet still there are those who are ignoring the fact that it is actually lethal to some of us. I would be lying to say that I don't get panic when my kids or spouse having a running nose or mild fever. But panic would make every situation worse. We need a clear and calm mind, and is well 'aligned' to get into solving a problem. Although, avoiding the fact that we could get the flu at any time and anywhere unaware, is of course the most foolish thing one should act. I can't believe it is happening..it's like..Resident Evil.!!!....Something is out there, came out of no where....to erase the existence of human. I just hope that everyone of us take it seriously when comes to dealing with this disease. It is getting out of hand-obviously-So please stay home and get yourself cleared before coming out and meet us. Because 'What Goes Around, Comes Around' - It won't end if you spare some of 'it' to give to someone else. Be responsible to your society.

hi again... It's been awhile....obviously.hehehe. Just didn't had the right time to get in here. Okay but then since it's only a photoblog....I wont waste the time straining my brain out for the right words. Although..... I do still want to express my strong feelings against the decision of abolishing the PPSMI. Why?

Decision was made before the first batch of primary, sit for their PMR. Which is now in Form 1...will have their Science and Maths in English until PMR, and then revert back to BM in form 4 & 5, and then back to English (AGAIN!) when in form 6....sot oooo!
I was once told that when you go for interview...we must agree with PPSMI...never go against it.....now kementerian sendiri are against it....mana pendirian ni???!!!...
PPSMI was proposed in the first place because of wide access and various reference available through the internet(especially) for students nowadays to enable faster P&P. So now they will then have to opt for BM references...kalau ada...paling2 wikipedia. Or have to allocate the students more time to do their homework lahhhh...bilang mau celik IT....Mau tanding Global Network...mau kasi BM semua internet....hahaha....bukan tidak boleh.....tapi by the time siap....baru 100m...org lain sudah berjuta kilometer......tiada yang mau tunggu aaaa....survival of the fittest...hehehe
Knowledge tertumpu yang sedia ada ja...how to expand knowledge kalau reference terhad....macam...sendiri-sendiri ja ni...
Now all the text book have to be changed...Duit lagi......duit siapa?
Nak tahu sangat lah ni...siapa pulak yang tidak tahu BI sebenarnya ni??? Terpaksa tukar balik ke BM kerana kelemahan sendiri??.....Tiada usaha ka mau upgrade? macam ilmu tu datang sendiri.

Lastly....mau pandai? mau berjaya? mau dikenali? mau disenangi? What make us survive? ....skills.... How to obtain skill? ....Learn it.... It is so obvious...this decision was made by those who 'Gave Up' on those yang 'kurang pandai'. Kenapa mesti manjakan kemalasan orang....sebab, bab pandai tidak pandai ni boleh di atasi dengan pelbagai cara. Human being develop in various ways....Each of us is specially in their own ways...cuma cara untuk approach tu yang kena IMPROVE. Bukan terus buang begitu saja. So...IMPROVISE is suppose to be the decision. Not ignoring it....

But then again, this is a photoblog and I'm just so poor at writing. By the way, Happy New Year to all. I'm still not getting there (2009) yet. I just don't get the excitement or joy or thrill of being in 2009..Maybe because I didn't get to join any countdown party. My maid was out. And I had a darrrk beggining of new year....very dark coz no 'karan'. Or maybe because I was busy moving. Yes! I've moved from my beloved 'kampung' to urban. I had a great time invigilating PMR exam at SMK Pulau Gaya....I believe everyone of us who got the news was expecting the worst out of it...but for me evrything was great experience. The whole week reminded me of the times I was a volunteer at MERC a few years ago. Yes!... those time where flippers and goggles were a must and well kept by me and my friend Mel at MERC. The clear blue sea was like a magnet to both of us..that we never missed a day without snorkeling for few hours..yes hours.

Here comes wall-e, another fully animated pixar cartoon movie.

I saw it last Saturday and found out how interesting it is for human being to understand the whole story through simple gesture (eye and hands movement only) and wordless digital sounds of robots (have word, but sometimes too discreet or too simple to understand). My kids were with me watching it, but I don't think my daughter could understand it. My son Daine, I believe was trying to get all the jokes out of it. And I guess he does get it coz he laughed along at some part.

Well for my review, it was a really good movie....yes me being environmental...the movie shows the real possibility of earth source and life depletion. As for the marshmallow peoples...yes it is possible too...don't believe it??!!...with all the great inventions blooming all over the world...gadgets and tools around us that makes us human more comfy...or I might say 'Lazy'...IT is possible. And robot falls in love? that is creepy. Thats the nonsense part of the movie. The whole idea was plainly cute maybe, but it was fun to watch...I say it is a 'Must Watch'.

Wala!...I finally starts to blog. I used to think that this is a waste of my... usually very well occupied & busy life. But then...I realise I'm about to go nuts on the hectic & stressful 'situation' in my work place, I soon believe that blogging is a good way to lay down all my thoughts and feelings, before insanity takes over... :P Still getting use to all this blogging stuff...;P
